Stage 14 Planting mangroves in Brgy. Polo, Tanjay, Negros Oriental

On July 25, 2015, participants from various branches of the Kane Pack Company Group made joint efforts to plant mangroves on the Brgy coast.

A total of 19 representatives were involved in mangrove plantation. 3 from KPPI, 2 from KPH, 2 from KPVN, 1 from KP, 1 from KPI, 2 from KPJI, 3 from KPG, 3 from KPG, 3 from KPG and 3 from KPG. When the arrival of the participants from Manila to Sibulan National Airport, they were welcomed by the coordinators of KPGreen Earth. They headed straight to the plantation in Brgy. Polo, Tanjay. From Sibulan Airport to Tanjay, Negros is 40 minutes away. This is the second mangrove plantation conducted in Tanjay, Negros. In March 2014, farming activities were conducted in Brgy. Manipis, Tanjay, Negors. Local officials and DENR R7 were also present in the short program that was conducted prior to planting. A total of 300 plants of Avicennia marina were planted by the participants in the above planting activity. Similarly, Brgy's community. Polo also participates in mangrove plantation to take care of mangrove plantation.

The importance of this mangrove afforestation is to restore the natural balance as well as to create awareness among local people about the benefits that mangroves must provide.

Participants and guests also enjoyed the sight and walk around the Tierra Alta residential area in Dumaguete. They even have the opportunity to visit and enjoy swimming in Manjuyod's famous white sand bar associated with Bais City organized by the Bais City Tourist Board.
